This Pacific tree frog was spotted in Julia's Gulch this Spring (2012). It is easily identified by it's size (1 to 5 centimeters long) and the black stripe on either side of its face. It's the smallest amphibian on the West Coast. The frog's croak (ribbet, ribbet) can be heard up to half a mile away. It takes 3 to 7 days for the frog's eggs to turn into tadpoles.
